The Lincoln County HazMat Decon Strike Team is comprised of four divisions:

Newcastle, Bristol, Boothbay, & Waldoboro.

Currently there are 30 active members on the team.

The team is equipped and trained to rescue victims of hazardous materials accidents,

and clean them so that they can be transported to a healthcare facility.

The team also responds to hazardous materials incidents that could cause harm to the environment. Each member is required to meet the team requirements, maintain skills and certification annually.

 

 Members are required to have at a minimum: SCBA Certifications and HazMat Operations level certification.
