Lincoln County is happy to introduce Lincoln County's Community Emergency Response Team! (CERT).
Lincoln County has many great volunteers through our Emergency Communications and Search and Rescue Team. However, Lincoln County wanted to find a way to bring in community members who wanted to volunteer, but maybe not through a specialized team. All teams have CERT meetings together but are able to have their own training for their specialty.
A CERT program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live. The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during a disaster situation. Lincoln County CERT is sponsored and supported by the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
To learn more about this group call Lincoln County EMA, visit Lincoln County Maine CERT (lc-cert.org), or email lincoln.county.me.cert@gmail.com to receive more information. Anyone is welcome to be involved as all skills are welcomed!
CERT is always looking for new team members. Click HERE to complete an application. Once you're done, please send it to lincoln.county.me.cert@gmail.com
