SPECIAL NEEDS


Through a grant made possible from Homeland Security and the State, the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency has established a database
for emergency operations planning to include; evacuation, sheltering & warning, for People with Disabilities and Special Needs.

 

The term “People with Disabilities and Special Needs”, includes but is not limited to:

 

      Disabled, the elderly, people with mental health issues, visual and hearing impaired, single heads of households, children 15 and under,
and non-English speaker.  Specific support is also needed to assist those individuals with transportation needs, communication,
special diets, service animals, medicationand mobility, in the event an emergency situation occurs.

 

Local Emergency Managers and Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency will ensure the security of the information entrusted to them.  The information you disclose will remain confidential”

 

During an emergency, those who have registered may be contacted by their Local Emergency Managers to insure their safety and respond to potential evacuation needs.
